The 6th annual RethinkWaste poster contest is now open!
The theme for 2019 is: 4 R’s in the Classroom. We are asking students to reflect and illustrate how they Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot (Compost) in their class and around their school.
Any 3rd through 5th grade student attending schools located in the RethinkWaste service area* may enter this contest.
All submitted posters must be 8.5 x 14 inches (legal size). Any 2D mediums may be used – this includes paint, markers, crayons and colored pencils. Bright, rich colors are encouraged. Only one entry per student will be accepted. Original artwork only.
Posters must be delivered flat and submitted by Friday, October 4, 2019 at Noon to the RethinkWaste office at 610 Elm Street, Suite 202, San Carlos along with a contest submission form.
The 1st Place poster will be enlarged and displayed on the side of a Recology truck with routes in the winning artist’s local neighborhood and receive four tickets to a science museum. 2nd and 3rd Place winners will also receive tickets to a science museum. Winning posters will also be highlighted on the RethinkWaste website and in other promotional materials.
